FY 2024 H-1B Cap Initial Registration Period Opens on March 1

The USCIS released a statement announcing the initial registration period for fiscal year 2024 H-1B cap will open at 12PM Eastern time on March 1st and run through 12PM Eastern time on March 17. During this time, petitioners and representatives will be able to complete and submit their registrations using the online H-1B registration system. Registrants will be able to create new accounts beginning at noon Eastern on Feb. 21. Account holders will be notified if their registrations were selected by March 31st. Cap Reached for Additional Returning Worker H-2B Visas for the First Half of FY 2023

USCIS has received enough petitions to reach the cap for the additional 18,216 H-2B visas made available for returning workers for the first half of fiscal year 2023 with start dates on or before March 31, 2023. Petitioners whose workers were not accepted for the 18,216 returning-worker allotment are encouraged to file under the Haiti, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras allotment while visas remain available.
